VERDANT is a free botanical companion platform. We are committed to keeping your data private and being transparent about what we collect.

2. What we collect

• Display name and email address
• Your plant collection, care notes and photo diary
• Care streak and notification preferences
• Anonymous usage data (pages viewed, features used) via cookie-free analytics

3. What we do not collect

• Payment information (VERDANT is free)
• Third-party advertising cookies or trackers
• Location data beyond your optional timezone setting
• Data sold to or shared with third parties for any purpose

4. Data storage

Your collection and journal data is stored locally in your browser. We do not currently sync across devices — this is on our roadmap. Photos you upload to your journal are stored on our servers and deleted when you remove them.

5. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used. VERDANT is entirely ad-free.

6. Your rights

Delete your account and all data at any time via profile settings. Request a copy of your data or erasure by emailing privacy@verdant.green.
